All roads lead to the Grotte des Demoiselles

The cave is located in the Occitanie region, between the Cévennes and the Mediterranean, in the gorges of the upper Hérault valley, overlooking the village of Saint-Bauzille-de-Putois.

By car

  • Major motorway axes: A709 (exit 26), A9 (exit Montpellier), A75 (exit Le Caylar).

  • Main highways :
    RD 986 from Palavas les Flots and Montpellier, direction Ganges.
    RD 999 from Nîmes towards Sauve, Le Vigan and Mont Aigoual.
    RD 4 from Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert.

  • Motorhomes welcome : parking recommended in parking lot P1 during the visit or for one night (no emptying platform, water supply or electrical terminals).

  • Nîmes Pont du Gard TGV station : 1h20.

  • The GR 60 crosses the panoramic terrace of the site.

  • The GR® de Pays Grand Pic Saint-Loup (elected “Favorite GR® of the French 2021”) is in the immediate vicinity of the cave.

Park in the Grotte car park

400 free parking spaces (P1 and P2) located near the Reception Pavilion.

Parking spaces adapted for disabled people in the immediate vicinity of the entrance to the Reception Hall (signposted path).

Unguarded parking areas : the Grotte des Demoiselles regrets to decline all responsibility in the event of theft or damage. Do not leave any valuables in the vehicles
