The Association!

The Association of Funiculars of France brings together the operators of funiculars, as well as technical partners, to promote and preserve these installations. It organizes meetings, technical exchanges, and events to highlight their role in heritage and sustainable mobility. The association also supports joint projects, such as the publication of books and the creation of documentaries.

Summary of the Assembly!

On June 7, 2024, the Association of Funiculars of France held its general assembly at the Grotte des Demoiselles. This event brought together active members and supporters from all over France to discuss the projects and future perspectives of the association.

The discussions focused on the moral and financial reports for 2023, ongoing initiatives such as the creation of promotional items (posters, pens, keychains, and branded t-shirts), and the preparation of a book dedicated to French funiculars. A documentary film project, which could interest channels like RMC Découverte or Arte, was also discussed. Detailed reports were presented to review the activities and technical challenges of the various member funiculars.

This gathering, held at the Grotte des Demoiselles, was enriched by technical and cultural visits.
