France 3 Highlights the Grotte des Demoiselles in a Special Report
The Grotte des Demoiselles was recently featured in a report by France 3, showcasing our spectacular new activity: the underground pendulum jump – a first of its kind in France.
In this extraordinary natural setting, visitors can now launch themselves from a platform 35 meters above the ground for a smooth and exhilarating swing through the air, right in the heart of the majestic Cathedral Hall. Suspended 70 meters below the surface, surrounded by stalactites, silence, and millennia of geological history, the experience is both awe-inspiring and accessible. Open to participants from the age of 7, this activity takes place outside regular visiting hours and is supervised by our expert guides.
This initiative is part of a broader ambition to diversify visitor experiences, led by Arnaud de Grully, site manager since 2020. Having taken over the family-run business, he set out to make the site more dynamic and inclusive:
“There’s the pendulum jump, but also underground vertigo, lantern-lit tours, and more. The site is so exceptional that we had to offer something for everyone – whether you're here for science, culture, or adventure, there’s something for you.”
The Grotte des Demoiselles now offers unique and immersive activities alongside its traditional guided tours.
The pendulum jump is available year-round by reservation, from age 7.
Adult rate: €45
Child rate: €39
A spectacular and original way to rediscover this iconic natural site.
